Speaker Login
The Homeschool Speakers Bureau is a service of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine (TOS) to assist homeschoolers and homeschool supporters to find speakers for classes, meetings, conventions, church activities, and other educational and promotional events. The Homeschool Speakers Bureau website seeks to identify and make available to the homeschool community speakers whose knowledge, experience, Christian faith, values, personality, commitments and message represent and promote the homeschool movement from the same Biblical worldview and family-first perspective as The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, providing convention planners and others with access to an organized location where they can survey available keynote speakers and other presenters for their events.
TOS does not charge anyone for use of the Homeschool Speakers Bureau website. Approved speakers list their names for free, and organizations seeking speakers access these names for free. Although event planners can initially contact listed speakers though the website links and email services provided by TOS, TOS does not act as an agent or an intermediary between speakers and event organizers, and all communications are made directly between the parties.
Speakers are selected for listing on the Homeschool Speakers Bureau website by invitation and acceptance or by application and approval by TOS. TOS does not guarantee inclusion of all applicants. Although speakers are reviewed and approved by TOS before being listed on the Homeschool Speakers Bureau website, TOS takes no responsibility for the content, language or conduct of any speakers, nor for the actions of any event organizers. All users of the website must make independent judgments as to the mutual suitability of speakers and events.
Speakers listed on the Homeschool Speakers Bureau website receive the right to display a TOS “Homeschool Speaker” logo and link on their websites.
Although no charge is made by TOS to event organizers or speakers for the use of the Homeschool Speakers Bureau website, TOS encourages the promotion of speaking events through the TOS magazine, websites, and other support services. TOS, for example, can provide copies of The Old Schoolhouse magazines and other appropriate TOS homeschool materials for distribution by speakers and at events (at no charge for the materials or shipping).
TOS is open also to proposals of other forms of cross-promotional cooperation with organizations and speakers who support homeschooling.
